This is a gift for my husband. We were walking along the beach one evening and he got really excited about "the monterey" but since I'm not an engineer I may never know why.
I had a lot of fun painting this one, I especially liked the way the clouds turned out. Which is good, I'm sure I'll be painting many more cloudy scenes now that June gloom is upon us.
I was looking through my photos of our last trip to Hawaii and the trees in this one caught my eye, something about their silhouette against the overcast sky, I just had to try to paint it.
