The flu has seriously kicked my butt for the last few days, I can't remember the last time I felt this sick. The tylenol kicked in so I crawled up to my studio to make this quick post....will definitely not be painting today, but here's one I did last week:
One of the best things about living in a little beach town is all the brightly colored houses around :) If I owned a house here I would have such a hard time deciding on what color it should be!
I'm getting a little more used to this whole plein air thing, there are parts of it that I love and parts that I could do without....like people warning me that I'll probably have ticks on me from standing in the grass. I'm thankful for the warning, but then my ankles itched for the rest of the painting because I was sure there were ticks on me! I couldn't find any.
I was SO happy to finally paint on a sunny day! I felt like my other plein air pieces looked a lot brighter and a lot more colorful (even for a cloudy day) when they were outside with me, and when I brought them inside they were so drab!
