Santa Barbara Harbor XIII - 12x24

california daily painting cradled panel large oil painting santa barbara harbor

This is the largest in my harbor series so far.  The sky turned out to be the most difficult part of the whole  piece.  It looks like it should be the most simple...and I think that was part of the problem, it was so calm while the actual harbor part was so busy.  I painted it three times before I was finally happy with it...I never do that!
