I just couldn't resist painting a few of these tiny canvases. I think they would make cute little gifts, or stocking stuffers...not that I'm getting excited for Christmas already :)
My favorite paintings surface, hands down, is Ampersand Gessobord. They're a little on the pricey side...but so worth it, since they're magic. A few months ago however I bought a lot of these Blick panels, they're not terrible, but they have this weird canvas texture on them that bothers me sometimes...they're just not quite as magical.
It was a wonderful weekend! Made pasta with some friends, had my first Art Association meeting, LONG overdue hangout with Emilee on State St (the sun was even out!), frozen yogurt, and Zach even made dinner last night...and I think had way too much fun doing it, he has now deemed Sunday to be "Sunday Steak Night". I never cook red meat, I think he was feeling a little deprived.
