I've painted these trees by our house before, but never at this time of day. I love their shape and the colors in the background. I really like how there was still a hint of blue in the sky, while the rest of the sunset was so orange and bright.
This is another large piece I was working on for one of the upcoming shows. I think I'm ready now, which is good since I only have 2 days left :)
Also it's been raining a lot lately (well, a lot by California standards), and this morning I found a giant earthworm in my kitchen, how did it even get there?!
This is another large painting that I did for the show. I gave that awful panel another chance, I added another coat of gesso first, it helped a little, but I'm still not impressed.
This show was a great push for me. I usually view my small 6x6 paintings as like an oil sketch, and then if I really like the composition and colors then I can turn it into something larger. But the problem is I get...
I don't really know what this building does, Zach said it was a grain elevator...so I tried typing that into google... the forth suggestion from google was "grain elevator explosions" so that made it a little more interesting. What I do know is that I loved the sunset reflection on it's metal sides.
