I love painting pears. They're always a different shape, they're usually a wonderful green color (at least the ones I pick are), and I think they have more personality than any other fruit. I think these two could have speech bubbles depicting their conversation.

Today's painting was much more successful, in my opinion. It was my first attempt at painting on a masonite panel. It had a very different feel than canvas, but I loved it. I chose another photograph that I took at the Santa Barbara courthouse, since I really liked how the other one turned out.

I thought I would try my hand at another night scene. It's not my favorite one, but I did learn a few things that will help me next time.
