Carpinteria has some pretty distinct trees and this is definitely one of them :) It's unique shape makes it really fun to draw....although it kind of reminds me of a bad hair day.
It's Zach's birthday today so we're off to the beach! We went for a hike earlier this morning, we were trying to find the great hike that we did a few years ago, but instead we just found a very sunny horrible trail that was filled with bees! We did not bother to finish that hike.
There will be a series of paintings of Lindisfarne this week (a tidal island off of the North East coast of England). I found these old photos and remembered how beautiful it was that day that we visited.
